Final conference: AWARE gives shape to the European idea of cooperation

Viek Verdult, chairman of the Aware steering committee, considered the Aware final conference in Gent successful. ‘The purpose of the Aware programme is to increase awareness among both the population and professionals,’ according to Viek. ‘With that, we had an eye on three points of attention; in particular: crisis communication, virtual crisis management and quality assurance. In these three areas, we have realised a great deal and learned a lot from each other. And with this, the European idea of cooperation is supported with pride!’
